NOW, THAT THE OPD- OLYMPIC PLAYER DEVELOPMENT- STEPPED IN AND TOOK OVER AND STARTED TEACHING COACHES HOW TO COACH SOCCER, THE USA HAS IMPROVED TREMENDOUSLY. THESE OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE BEEN PLAYING SOCCER VERY WELL FOR CENTURIES. WE JUST NEED A LITTLE MORE TIME TO CATCH UP. SOON ENOUGH WE WEILL BE ON TOP OF THE SOCCER WORLD. THOSE 50 STARS AND THOSE 13 STRIPES CAN NOT BE HELD DOWN THAT MUCH LONGER.

IT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME BUT SOON ENOUGH USA WILL BE #1 IN THE WORLD.

We should all be very proud of what they have accomplished already, but most of all, we should be proud of how they have represented our Country. They have had several bad calls against them that they could have gotten ugly about, but they have handled them with true grace and dignity and have kept on keeping on until victory. They have repreresented those 50 stars and those 13 stripes like true Champions.

Armando Galarraga, Jim Joyce offer a LIFE LESSON

What an unbelievable life lesson we were all taught. For a professional picther to have a perfect game stolen from him on the 27th out by a miss call is a true American MLB tradgedy. But the way the picture, Galarraga, and the way the Umpire, Joyce, handled the CITUATION we all can learn from this. As a youth, travel Soccer Coach, I have lost my mind over so many cituations with such a lessor consquence that I must learn from these two complete professional class acts.

And as reported by The Associated Press,
Baseball commissioner Bud Selig's statement Thursday on the call that cost Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga a perfect game has even taken this to a new level. Here is what Bud said:

"First, on behalf of Major League Baseball, I congratulate Armando Galarraga on a remarkable pitching performance. All of us who love the game appreciate the historic nature of his effort last night.

The dignity and class of the entire Detroit Tigers organization under such circumstances were truly admirable and embodied good sportsmanship of the highest order. Armando and Detroit manager Jim Leyland are to be commended for their handling of a very difficult situation. I also applaud the courage of umpire Jim Joyce to address this unfortunate situation honestly and directly. Jim's candor illustrates why he has earned the respect of on-field personnel throughout his accomplished career in the Major Leagues since 1989."

We should all learn to handle stressful cituations a lot better. Here is a Major League Picture who had a perfect game taken away from him in front of the world at the height of his professional career and he handled it like a true champiom with class and dignity. And this outcome, story, and MLB hero's will go down in history as one of the greatest perfect games that never happened. And we can all learn from these professionals and add their actions into our professional game of life.

PRONGER'S A BUM

Chris Pronger loves being a jerk. He loves playing the villan. However, he spends so much time acting like a world class jerk and NOT ENOUGH TIME FOCUSING ON BEING THE BEST PLAYER ON THE ICE. He has tried to get in the heads of the Hawks, but he has just watched the puck hit the back of his goalie's net. He was on the ice all 7 times The Hawks lit the lamp in game 5. And now he has made a fool of himself with his attitude and actions.

At The Warm Up Show, we preach win or lose with respect for the game. Pronger is the complete opposite of how you should act when you win or lose. And now he has millions of kids hating him and hopefully they will NEVER act like he has acted in this series.

Pronger is and has been a great player in the NHL for years, and he has won the Stanley Cup before and is a multi millionaire and a future member of the NHL Hall of Fame. But he is still a bum for acting like he does. And he is Les Grobstein, of 670 THE SCORE'S Bum of the week two weeks in a row.

ONE GAME AWAY FROM GLORY! One more win and this city will be on fire. The Flyers are a great team and they have had an awesome season and they should be very proud of their accomplishments. However, this is THE HAWKS time. We went through the pain last year with the semi-final loss to The Red Wings. We went through the pain every year since 1992, when we lost in the Finals to Pittsburgh Penguins. We have been through the pain ever since our Stanley Cup victory in 1961. We have earned our stripes. We have been to the edge, where we stood and looked down. You know we lost a lot of friends down there baby and now there is no more time to mess around.
