On Monday, Tracy McGrady had a tryout/workout with the Chicago Bulls. From reports it wasn't a good tryout, saying his knee is not getting the lift it used to and could only shoot jumpers, so the Bulls will take a pass in my humble opinon.
But I want to blog about how T-Mac said to the reporters in his interview during his tryout. He said, he doesn't see himself coming off the bench now that he's fully healthy,and without him and Carlos Boozer the Bulls are a 500. team and said that they were 30 points better with him on the team. All I can say in a Chad Ochocinco voice "CHILD PLEASE."
I couldn't help see the fact T-Mac already thinks he's on the team by using "we" and "us" in the sound bytes. I felt the Bulls were actually a better than a 500. team last year, if some key players stayed healthy down the stretch. Let's face it, if the Bulls would atleast had a compotent coach they would've won 45 and dare I say 50 games. Don't know what T-Mac is talking about.
Honestly, I was on the fence about signing McGrady, but now, no way! Not only after what he said, but he's not willing come off the bench because he thinks he's still the man. No wonder the roster depleted Knicks didn't want to re-sign him. He doesn't fit the Bulls style of play, Bulls want to run in transition and play defense, Tracy at his best was a half court player that created for himself and plays defense when he felt like it.
He never played all 82 games in a season his career and never got out of the 1st round in the playoffs his career ever. I know some fans will blame the Bulls for not signing McGrady but he's not the same guy anymore. Don't look at him as T-Mac circa 02-03, look at him as Tracy McGrady 2010.

MLB Trade deadline: Buyers and Sellers
Ok the trade deadline is approaching in a few days, and our Chicago teams are going in the opposite directions, the White Sox are currently in 1st place in AL Central are going to be buying to add, And the Cubs will be the sellers since they are 10.5 games back of the Cardinals/Reds. So let's break it down:
The Sox want/need a left handed power bat and maybe a starting pitcher to replace Jake Peavy. Adam Dunn name has came up often in trade talks but the Washington Nationals GM wants more than the Sox want to give up and Dunn wants acontract extension. Prince Fielder is available but the Brewers want top propects which the Sox don't have enough of, also he's a Scott Boras (agent) client whom have a tendacy to test the free agency market and Boras isn't well liked by Sox GM Kenny Williams.
I think the Sox will eventually will get the deal Dunn,(pun intended) He doesn't hit for average,strikeout a lot,and doesn't play the field particularly well, but he does provides power from the left side of the plate and as much as he strikes out he walks alot as well and his career OBP 382, which would cause hope for the Sox to go all way to the world series.
The Cubs are trying to cut payroll and hope to get some good prospects, Derek Lee already turn down a trade to the LA Angels, and Ted Lilly looks to be on the move as well to a team that needs left handed pitching to solidify their playoff chances. But it will be tough for the Cubs to trade their guys like Lee(No Trade Clause), Fukudome, and Soriano (Expensive Contracts) And Carlos Zambrano (ineffective) have all under preformed for Other teams that would take a chance on them. Who's Pimping Who?
So im setting back watching sportcenter, and saw the clip of University of Alabama's football coach Nick Saban using a analogy that Sports Agents are pimps. Because of the allegations of some of his players accepting money/gifts. The NCAA has been having a huge problem with agents coming on campuses and trying to recurit serious pro potentional prospects, in order to gain the players trust and hopefully, get the player to sign with their respective sports agency.
I thought Nick Saban comments were funny epsecially coming from him, the same man that will ditch a school or pro team as soon as another opportunity presents itself while preaching loyaty, commitment, and dedication to his players and the media.
Now i've seen American Pimp Documentary a while back and the Pimps don't give money to their prostitutes, Nick Saban has it all wrong when referred to agents as pimps. But lets take a look at the NCAA and schools that benefit the most when the player is enrolled at said school, with the players that brings in millions of dollars to the schools, you name from their jersey's being sold in the bookstores to EA sports video games using their physical likeness in the game, and without the player being payed or compensated, so my question is who's pimping who? THE SUPER TEAM- LEBRON>WADE>BOSH
What's up with the brand new SUPER TEAM? Did you see the big INTRODUCTION in Miami. Have they already won? It seamed like they are celebrating a little soon. Yes, they should be happy with the big three coming together, but they should win something first and celebrate second.
SPAIN WINS THE WORLD CUP
Spain lifted the FIFA World Cup for the first time after Andres Iniesta's 116th-minute goal secured a 1-0 victory for the European champions over the Netherlands at Soccer City.
The solitary goal came with penalties looming as substitute Cesc Fabregas played in Iniesta and the little midfielder drove emphatically across Maarten Stekelenburg and into the far corner. With this victory – their fourth successive single-goal win in South Africa – Spain became the eighth name on the FIFA World Cup Trophy and also the first European team to have triumphed on a different continent. For the Netherlands, who lost defender John Heitinga to a red card in extra time, there is only the heartache of another tale of what might have been after they completed a hat-trick of Final losses.
Spain scored 8 goals in 7 games. The fewest goals scored in World Cup history by a World Cup WINNER. Spain won with defense. They played smart from the back and as their prey became vulnerable they would attack until they scored the final blow. They were also the first and only team to win the World Cup after losing their first game.
Overall, The World Cup was awesome to watch. The colorful Nation of South Africa soared to victory as their culture shined through everyday. The third place game was awesome with 5 goals being scored and Germany winning over Uruguay 3-2.
This game was a great example of what great and exciting soccer is all about, and it was a fun game to watch.

LeBron's "Decision" was cowardly
Ok, I guess Steven A. Smith was right after all. I have to say this about the NBA summer's free agency has been a circus for sure. After, months of waiting to find out the top free agents LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade where going to go. The last two days we found out that after much flirting with 6 teams with cap space. Bosh and Wade decided to play for the Miami Heat.
So LeBron decided to have this hour special on ESPN, which is was so Self Serving in itself, and (exposed ESPN as Marketing showcase more than a Journalism network) LeBron announces his decision will be playing for the Heat. He spent an hour on t.v. in which he could've said he's playing with the Heat in 15 seconds. He pretty much broke up with Cleveland Cavs on National television. Poor Cleveland.
Its funny that LeBron was always saying that he wanted build his brand and be recognize as the "man" and he legacy would join the Heat as a second banana to Wade and Bosh. Make no mistake about it, the Heat is still Wade's team. Wade Won a title without LeBron, they nickname Dade County Florida to Wade County.
I feel that LeBron should've picked the Bulls in a basketball point of view, for two reasons. One, the Bulls have the Players in place to win now and Miami has 4 players (including James)on its roster. and two he could expand on his empire/brand in a big market in Chicago compared to Miami who, by the way are in the bottom half in attendance in the NBA.
So LeBron decision to take cowardly way to a title, will change everyone's opinion about him. He's a 25 year old top 2 player in the NBA, not a 35 year old who's past his prime leaching on to a title contending team. Guess who will be getting the ball with 5 seconds on the Heat, not Lebron it'll be Wade taking that shot. LeBron cannot call himself "King" James its more like "Prince" James. I will Blog about the Circus some other time but it won't be this long as this Post, I promise.

The Chicago Bulls have made so many moves this off season and now we are just left to wait to find out if they have been smart moves. We can at least rest assured knowing that they are doing everything they can to make a run at the Championship. It takes one step forward to reach the milestone at the top which is The Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy. WORLD CUP
Germany is without a doubt the class of the World Cup. They have out classed, out played everyone and have without a doubt become the favor to win it all. They have taken there style of game play to the next level. They have the perfect mix of smart tactical gameplay with an aggressive mentality and a scoring FRENZY. Which is exactly what USA needs.

LEBRON VS WADE AND BOSH
Who would you rather have LeBron or Wade and Bosh? Yes either LeBron by himself with the rest of The Bulls core or Wade and Bosh added to the rest of the Bulls core. LeBron is without a doubt the best player in the NBA right now, but if the Bulls get him by himself they will not win a Championship next year, they won't even get to the big game. But if Wade and Bosh come to the Bulls they will at least get to the Championship game!

USA STILL CHAMPIONS IN WORLD CUP LOSS
lACK OF DEFENSE, POOR COACHING DECISION, OR NOT ENOUGH ENERGY, OR JUST BAD LUCK. EITHER WAY THE USA STILL HAD A GREAT WORLD CUP AND WE SHOULD ALL BE PROUD OF THIER ACCOMPLISHMENTS. ALTHOUGH, A VERY DISSAPOINTING LOSS, THEY STILL SHOWED AMERICA AND THE WORLD THAT THEY BELONG ON THE BIG STAGE AND SOCCER HAS EVOLVED SO MUCH IN AMERICA SINCE THEY STARTED COACHING COACHES ON HOW TO COACH. We should all be very proud of what they have accomplished already, but most of all, we should be proud of how they have represented our Country. Armando Galarraga, Jim Joyce offer a LIFE LESSON
What an unbelievable life lesson we were all taught. For a professional picther to have a perfect game stolen from him on the 27th out by a miss call is a true American MLB tradgedy. But the way the picture, Galarraga, and the way the Umpire, Joyce, handled the CITUATION we all can learn from this. As a youth, travel Soccer Coach, I have lost my mind over so many cituations with such a lessor consquence that I must learn from these two complete professional class acts.
And as reported by The Associated Press,
Baseball commissioner Bud Selig's statement Thursday on the call that cost Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga a perfect game has even taken this to a new level. Here is what Bud said:
"First, on behalf of Major League Baseball, I congratulate Armando Galarraga on a remarkable pitching performance. All of us who love the game appreciate the historic nature of his effort last night.
The dignity and class of the entire Detroit Tigers organization under such circumstances were truly admirable and embodied good sportsmanship of the highest order. Armando and Detroit manager Jim Leyland are to be commended for their handling of a very difficult situation. I also applaud the courage of umpire Jim Joyce to address this unfortunate situation honestly and directly. Jim's candor illustrates why he has earned the respect of on-field personnel throughout his accomplished career in the Major Leagues since 1989."
We should all learn to handle stressful cituations a lot better. Here is a Major League Picture who had a perfect game taken away from him in front of the world at the height of his professional career and he handled it like a true champiom with class and dignity. And this outcome, story, and MLB hero's will go down in history as one of the greatest perfect games that never happened. And we can all learn from these professionals and add their actions into our professional game of life.

PRONGER'S A BUM
Chris Pronger loves being a jerk. He loves playing the villan. However, he spends so much time acting like a world class jerk and NOT ENOUGH TIME FOCUSING ON BEING THE BEST PLAYER ON THE ICE. Game of Inches
Winning or losing games comes down to inches. Just think of the game play during the game to the outcome and it all comes down to inches. As a coach, I can think back on a lot of my losses and they came down to losing by inches. If we could've had a better effort, if we could've overcome adversirty, if we could have come with a different attitude, if we could have made the plays, that extra umph, that extra effort, IT COMES DOWN TO INCHES.

CHAMPIONS IN SPORTS
They are the best of the best. They exemplify courage, nobility, genius, hard work, modesty, ambition, and grace. They are the ones we all want to be like. They are the ones we want to act like when the going gets tough. They are the ones that have that extra something. They explode with that extra effort, that extra step, that finishing move, that winning score. They are the Champions in Sports. And the difference between winning and losing is inches. It is the ability to take that extra step. It is the ability to climb that extra ring in the latter. It is the ability to turn excuses for failure into reasons for success. And it is the ability to step up on game day in between the lines within the game time to have a winning outcome and Champions are Champs in everything they do. Be a Champion in life.

What is a Band Wagon Jumper?
Someone who knows nothing about the sport or the team that they are jumping onto, and they wont care about them if they lose. As a matter of fact, they would evan be upset and want there money back if they spent it on a losing game. These people fill a void in their empty lives by jumping onto a winner, without ever suffering through the trials and tribulations of losing on their journey to the top.
Anyway, all you BlackHawk band wagon jumpers, you are all welcome. Enjoy the ride! We will be on top for a long time.

Vince Lombardi, Arnold Palmer, Cal Ripken Jr., Hank Arron, Jackie Robinson, Lance Armstrong, Yogi Berra, Magic Johnson, Mickey Mantle, Muhammad Ali, Pele, Roberto Clemente, Willie Mays and my favorite Michael Jordan.
These are the greatest athletes in their sports. These are the best of the best. And if you want to be the best in your chosen field of life in work or sports than you have to find the best and duplicate their efforts. Go to the top and find out why they are where they are and what they had to do to get there. And here is what you will find. These Heroes in sports have gotten where they are because of the choses they made. They did more than they had to. They worked longer than they had to. You see, if you want to see what other people havn't seen, than you need to go places that they haven't gone. If you want more then others have, than you need to do what they won't do- legally and morally.
Most of all, when you fail, when you fall, when you run into another dead end, YOU MUST NEVER GIVE UP. Find a way. Keep searching and it will find you. And when you reach the top, realize how hard you worked to get there and like your favorite Hero, you will be at the top of your chosen field.

What is your Dream?
So, what is your dream friend? One of the greatest secrets known to mankind is that YOU ARE EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ALL DAY LONG and you can have whatever you want as long as you have good intentions. If your dream is to buy a car, than you must set a financial target and shoot your effort darts at that dart board of achievement until you hit the bulls eye of success and buy a car. However, if your dream is to buy a car, and you start playing ping-pong, you will never achieve your destination and you will be walking.
If an Eagle chases two mice for lunch, both will escape. So, you must have a dream. You must have a chartered course that you follow strictly until you achieve your destination. You see, every cruise ship that leave a port must have a chartered course. And the Captain and the crew know exactly where they are going, how long it will take and what they have to do to get there. And they must think and do nothing until that job is done. And there is a 99.999% chance that they will reach their final destination. However, if the same Captain and the same crew set out without a chartered course and without a final destination and without a plan to achieve their goal, than they never will and that ship will never make it out of the Harbor. Just think of all the people in this world wasting away in their harbor of failure. Sitting on their couches, waiting for the mail. Putting dents in the cushions of their couches. Getting their fingers orange from cheese curls. Living without a purpose. Living without a dream. Living without a chartered course to their final destination.
And we all know the type of person I'm talking about. The person with no desire. The person with no bounce in their step. The complaining, lazy, self-pity, quitting person that is in the mirror. You see, we all have this person in us, we COULD be this exact person in our life right now and we could be blind to it. We just or must choose not to act upon the lazy part of our sub-conscious. We must have other reasons for not complaining about our circumstance or situation. We must motivate ourselves everyday to do the right thing. Each person has a winner and a loser in them. And it is up to you who shows up for your game, YOUR GAME OF LIFE!
So, what is your dream friend? Once you decide, you must have a definiteness of purpose. That means a single goal. A single dream. Then you must wake up thinking about it. You must think about it all day long. And you must work hard and smart to achieve your dream. And you must go through the pain and suffering to reach the ultimate joy of achieving your dream. And you must use every circumstance surrounding you as a reasons for achieving your goal and not excuses for failure, then and only then will you reach your dream.
And once you reach your dream- enjoy it. Reward yourself with your dream because you have earned it!
If an Eagle chases two mice for lunch, both will escape. So, you must have a dream. You must have a chartered course that you follow strictly until you achieve your destination. You see, every cruise ship that leave a port must have a chartered course. And the Captain and the crew know exactly where they are going, how long it will take and what they have to do to get there. And they must think and do nothing until that job is done. And there is a 99.999% chance that they will reach their final destination. However, if the same Captain and the same crew set out without a chartered course and without a final destination and without a plan to achieve their goal, than they never will and that ship will never make it out of the Harbor. Just think of all the people in this world wasting away in their harbor of failure. Sitting on their couches, waiting for the mail. Putting dents in the cushions of their couches. Getting their fingers orange from cheese curls. Living without a purpose. Living without a dream. Living without a chartered course to their final destination.
And we all know the type of person I'm talking about. The person with no desire. The person with no bounce in their step. The complaining, lazy, self-pity, quitting person that is in the mirror. You see, we all have this person in us, we COULD be this exact person in our life right now and we could be blind to it. We just or must choose not to act upon the lazy part of our sub-conscious. We must have other reasons for not complaining about our circumstance or situation. We must motivate ourselves everyday to do the right thing. Each person has a winner and a loser in them. And it is up to you who shows up for your game, YOUR GAME OF LIFE!
So, what is your dream friend? Once you decide, you must have a definiteness of purpose. That means a single goal. A single dream. Then you must wake up thinking about it. You see, I have never lost, I have just ran out of time. And we all have the time to win as long as we don't quit. And your time is now to do it. Don't think about what could have been, or what has been, or what might be, just think about now and tomorrow. And set your goals high and get focused and go get them yourself right now. Because no one is going to help you. You have only one place to turn and that is to the reflection in the mirror. It is YOU! You have the the power, you just need to utilize it. Don't be scared and don't quit, just do it! DON'T GIVE UP. DON'T EVER GIVE UP! REACH YOUR GOALS AND ACHIEVE GREATNESS!
The American Eagle
Have you ever wondered why The Eagle is the symbol of America? Well, we couldn't chose a Dove or a Vulture. We could only chose The Eagle because is THE EAGLE IS GREATEST BIRD IN THE WORLD. You see, the Eagle flocks alone. And when she flies she soars. And she will create the biggest nest, as big as a small car, and she will put it on the highest tree in the valley, and the view is nice from the top. But the best thing about the eagle is this: when the barometric pressure drops and a major rain storm is rolling in; all the birds in the valley will fly for cover, because they can actually look up and get water in their beak the wrong way and they can drown from the rain. The Eagle, on the other hand, will become excited by the storm. Her heart will start pounding and her adrenalin will start pumping and when that storm finally hits, she will take off and fly head strong into the storm. And at that time she must fly faster, higher, harder, and better than ever before. Because any bird can fly in sunny weather, it takes an eagle to fly in the storm. And when she flies at her best, she will fly through and ABOVE the clouds. And you know what she will find? It is is SUNNY up there. She just had to fly better. She just had to fly faster. She just had to fly harder. She just had to fly HIGHER to get through the storm to get to the SUNSHINE.

If your dream is big enough, the facts don't matter.
Every baby is born with complete innocence. And they have the greatest dreams and aspirations. But everyday of their life they are put into a conformity, where they are told when they should smile, and when they should excel. They have their dreams stolen and rearranged. But if their dream is big enough the facts don't matter.
I'm sick of waking up with a smile everyday, and everyone I see tries to wipe it away. But guess what friend? Not Today! No one is going to steal my smile and show me their way. No one is going to steal my dream, because my dream is power. And if the dream is big enough the facts don't matter.
Once you make the decision that you will not listen to anyone but yourself, you must set your goals as high as possible. And you must realize your dream every step of the way. Desire
There is one word that can sum up why athletes climb the highest mountains. There is one word that sums up why Coaches chose to coach their team to the highest level. There is one word that can sum up why teams win championships. And that word is DESIRE!
You See, it doesn't matter what the odds are. It doesn't matter what people say you can or can't do. If you put DESIRE first, and hold that particular desire close to your heart and truly care about it and want to achieve that desire more than anything, than there is nothing that can stop you! And your burning desire is an accurate picture of what you will one day become.
However, if you go after your desire timidly with doubt and hesitation, than you don't have a true burning desire to achieve your goal and you never will. But if your willing to burn all the bridges behind you and say that this is it once and for all, this is what I will do, and I will never retreat, I'll never go back. Than that is the sort of desire that can only lead to success.
Decide what you DESIRE and go get it!

Decide now! What do you want? Plant your goal in your mind! It will be the most important decision you'll ever make in your entire life. Life is full of boundaries, and we all have a set of limits. And I believe our paths are already paved, we just have to figure out which way to go. And when a stop sign comes in your life, you have to decide to go left, right, straight, or turn around. And it is difficult to chose because each turn and each decision has its own set of circumstances and consequences, and you must pay the price for each decision. And whether it was correct or incorrect, each decision has a major lesson, and it all has a reason for happening.
You see, we all build barriers in our life, and we all have our own set of boundaries, and once we concur our boundaries, than there is no looking back at the turns you made to get you exactly where you are. And there is only one thing that can keep you barricaded behind your boundaries and that is fear. If your fear is greater than your desire, than you won't be able to overcome your barriers. If your fear is greater than your DREAM than you won't reach it. You see, everyone has fears, but it is those that put their dream in front of any obstacle or barrier or fear that succeed. And you can't sit around and wait for something to happen. Someone is not going to come out ringing a cow bell saying now is your time, you must make now your time! And no matter what challenges or barriers face you, realize that they are there for a reason, and you must take the challenge head on and use that challenge to build character, integrity and SUCCESS!
