LeBron's "Decision" was cowardly

Ok, I guess Steven A. Smith was right after all. I have to say this about the NBA summer's free agency has been a circus for sure. After, months of waiting to find out the top free agents LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade where going to go. The last two days we found out that after much flirting with 6 teams with cap space. Bosh and Wade decided to play for the Miami Heat.

So LeBron decided to have this hour special on ESPN, which is was so Self Serving in itself, and (exposed ESPN as Marketing showcase more than a Journalism network) LeBron announces his decision will be playing for the Heat. He spent an hour on t.v. in which he could've said he's playing with the Heat in 15 seconds. He pretty much broke up with Cleveland Cavs on National television. Poor Cleveland.

Its funny that LeBron was always saying that he wanted build his brand and be recognize as the "man" and he legacy would join the Heat as a second banana to Wade and Bosh. Make no mistake about it, the Heat is still Wade's team. Wade Won a title without LeBron, they nickname Dade County Florida to Wade County.

I feel that LeBron should've picked the Bulls in a basketball point of view, for two reasons. One, the Bulls have the Players in place to win now and Miami has 4 players (including James)on its roster. and two he could expand on his empire/brand in a big market in Chicago compared to Miami who, by the way are in the bottom half in attendance in the NBA.

So LeBron decision to take cowardly way to a title, will change everyone's opinion about him. He's a 25 year old top 2 player in the NBA, not a 35 year old who's past his prime leaching on to a title contending team. Guess who will be getting the ball with 5 seconds on the Heat, not Lebron it'll be Wade taking that shot. LeBron cannot call himself "King" James its more like "Prince" James. I will Blog about the Circus some other time but it won't be this long as this Post, I promise.
